my editing is so bad that I prefer to leave bad parts because when I edit it looks/sounds like jumps between clips. Is there any way to make editing on camtasia 8 more smooth and profesional looking? Ive searched high and low but havent found anywhere a good tutorial

Thanks for the additional information! I had a few thoughts after reading your post.

First, we just released Camtasia 8.1 today, which includes a new feature called stitching. Basically, if you cut sections of your video or audio media, stitching will now join the pieces together, eliminating gaps on the timeline. If you're interested in learning more about it, we have a brand new tutorial (just added today) here: http://www.techsmith.com/tutorial-cam...

Camtasia 8.1 also features the ability to copy and paste visual properties, which may help with the visual jumps between clips.

It sounds like you already have Camtasia Studio 8, so you can update to the new version for free by clicking Help > Check for Updates, or by downloading and installing here: http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia-stu...

Lastly, we released an Editing In-Depth tutorial today as well, which I'm hoping you'll find helpful. It covers topics like cutting, trimming, and ripple moves -- all of which can help make videos appear smoother and more professional. You can find that video here: http://www.techsmith.com/tutorial-cam...

Please let us know if this helps, or if you have any other questions.
