I wish Camtasia for Mac would integrate audio scrubbing.

The lack of audio scrubbing is the single thing that keeps me running back to Screenflow, even though I prefer the other features in Camtasia for Mac.

Thanks, Erin.

Although I know why this would help me personally, could you let us know why this is such an important feature for you?

Conan.

Using the audio waveform alone to achieve quality results is sheer guesswork. Having to do an edit multiple times in order to get the precision I want is a huge time suck. That aside, there are many times when the sound I wish to edit (a breath or other low-level background noise) falls below the visible level on the Camtasia waveform. Timing cuts to specific words or music is far more complex than it need be - often requiring the use of markers when in other software, a quick scrub would do. Camtasia has added tons of sophistication to the visual side of the Camtasia for Mac software - but is still in the stone ages where audio is concerned.

Why hasn't this been added?  I was going to purchase Camtasia, but I may have to stick with iMovie because of this lack.  It's so much harder to edit ums without this!
