Idea: Lock panning into the plane when doing either horizontal or vertical in Camtasia

When panning either horizontally or vertically, it is possible to subtly move the "view port" such that when the pan has completed, the screen is not in the same plane as when the pan started.  (Does that make sense--I hope?)

Other software allows the user to, usually, press the SHIFT key to lock the plane so you can draw straight lines.  I think adding that capability to pan would be awesome!
