You don't need to uninstall SnagIt 11.

SnagIt 13 installs as a separate an independent program. Download and install SnagIt 13.0.1 from this link.https://www.techsmith.com/download/oldversions
It will install as a trial.

That's right, you can have multiple versions installed at the same time.  For example, I have versions 11,12 and 13 installed on my machine.  However, it's only possible to use one version at a time.  So feel free to just install V13 and then if you don't like it simply uninstall it and V11 [my favorite as well] will remain behind and not be hurt by the process. Also, you can go back and forth between versions, one at a time, of course, and see the differences.  This is a great way to try software before putting your cash out.

One little nuance of installing multiple versions of Snagit: you need to install from oldest to newest. So everything installs fine if you install v11, then v12, then v13, for example. But installing v13 first and then v12 afterward is not supported and can cause problems with how files and preferences are referenced.

Also, the trial is the full version of the software, just for a limited time. In other words, the trial is identical to what you get when you purchase.

If there are specific things you find inefficient in v13, we'd love to hear about them. You can "+1" or comment on other threads here in the community, make a new post, or select "private" when you post and it will get forwarded along to the appropriate person. The response to Snagit 13 has been incredibly positive--both during beta and since it's been live--but that doesn't mean we're done improving the experience! Your suggestions are vital as we continue to refine Snagit.
