Image Import folder to pass images via Software

Hi Techsmith,

I could use a Folder that is searched by and the Snagit Editor and automatically adds the images to the "recent" Snagit Editor images.
Use Case:
I have a VI in Labview taking measurements. The VI has a Button that saves an Image of the current measurement. I want to work on these / save only some of them using the Snagit Editor, but I dont want to take multiple clicks using the Snagit Capture function, since using one button that exists on the Front Panel of the VI is the best Solution. Everything is scaled and as wide / high as I need it.

Would be pretty amazing!

Why wouldn't you ask labview to save images to snagit?

Hi Christian - have you looked at Snagit's COM server as a possible option? It is designed to enable users to automate many functions of Snagit.

Another potential option: use that button in Labview to save out the images to a folder on your hard drive, then in Snagit Editor use File > Open to open, edit, and save out the final images.

@jasons - that is what i am trying to do. If ther is an easy way i overlooked, feel free to point me in the right direction.

@Daniel What you described sums up our current implementation. With the optimized Workflow we currently have for the measurements, that does lead to about 10 alt-tabs, 2 mouse clicks to open a file per minute for the 10 people of my team. That time would be better spend elsewhere.

I will look into the Com server, as I didnt know about this yet. Thanks for bringing it up!

You are asking for snagit to take output from labview.
I meant ask labview to make an output for snagit like to directly open with snagit.

Sorry if i didnt make that clear, but labview exports an image (*.png) to the file system. I would enjoy SnagIt to be able to have any folder / Path to where you can throw images and they get shown in the Editor. My request has nothing to do with and does not require Labview.
