UpVote this people!!!!

This feature was available in CS8 and I hope to have it reinstated in C9

In C9 there is only file names and a generic icon next to each item in the library / Media Bin.

Yes, we can see the item when we double click but that is a pain in the bum.

We need to be able to preview what we are importing without having to open it.

Please add thumbnails when hovering over an item in the bin.

Cheers

Cheers Joe,
Obviously I don't get how this system works - I saw this original post and voted for it but the message from Techsmith led me to believe that once the month is over, you needed to start re-posting and getting votes if your idea (or someone else's) was not in the list.  hence me posting this again. :)

Now that you mention it, I don't know how it works either.Maybe regular  posting would help?

Hi Joe and Sharyn;

To expound on my comments on the New Community Process page, and the past Round-Ups (here and here), feature requests are gathered from the 15th to the 15th of the following month, then consolidated into a single post. From then the threads will stay open until the 1st, where we (TechSmith) will then lock the threads and pull down the data so we can tally all the +1's (votes) for the threads. We will then re-open the threads and a response will be made. There are two potential responses; one from me stating that it did not make it this month, or one from the respective product's Product Team.

If you receive a response from me, and not from the product team, you are urged to create a new post covering the same topic, perhaps wordsmithing it, or creating mockups to help better define your request, and then share out and champion the new thread (make sure you include a link to the original thread, so I can merge the old thread into the new thread).

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions!

-Robert

Thanks Robert
I do not have time at work or at home to go through all that rigamarole in order to get my suggestion high on the list. The fact that I have sacrified my work time at all in order to get these suggestions up here in the first place is something I probably should not be doing in all honesty.
I guess I am just going to post once and hope my idea gets picked up. If not, que sera sera.
Cheers

Hi Sharyn,

Having a preview of each piece of media in the library was something we had planned for the 9.0 release but we had to put on hold because of time constraints. We are currently working on improvements for the library. Stayed tuned for some library improvements including a preview of the media.

Thanks for taking the time to post your idea.
