When images are removed, often the library shows them as a red cross in a box.

Is there a way to remove those 'orphaned' images from the library?

Select them and delete them.

1.Same way you delete Windows files, images, etc. Select one, hold shift and select a group by selecting another one down the line.
2.Hold Ctrl, Left click several to select many.

Then, right click and remove from library. There's no way to just remove all missing images that I'm aware.

You can also click in the library preview window and press "Ctrl+A,' I believe, if all the image links are broken. There is no way to have the editor select only broken links that I'm aware of.

Ha!  That easy... :-)

My question pretty much sounds like a newbie question then.

Background of my thread was I was thinking/hoping that some 'option' might remove such orphaned images 'automatically'. They don't serve any purpose after all.
Went thru (limited) number of options under preferences, admittedly there is no such thing.

Thanks for the replies.
