I'm attempting to import assets from this page: https://library.techsmith.com/?_ga=2.212529302.389715343.1516067678-126262938.1516067678 into Camtasia 3.1.2 on my Mac, using the instructions found here: https://support.techsmith.com/hc/en-us/articles/229859268-Camtasia-Mac-Using-Media-Assets-on-Mac?_ga...  It doesn't want to work. I click on the asset, and all I get is a clicking noise - it doesn't import.  What should I do?

Not sure where your problem lies.  Here are the steps.  I verified these to be working.
1. I downloaded the first asset from the link you posted (the asset named BIg Swipes).  This put a file in my downloads folder named BigSwipes01.cmproj.zip. Make sure you download the mac version of the asset.  If you downloaded the PC version accidentally (the file extension is libzip), this asset will not work and you should go back and download the mac version instead.
2. I double-clicked on that file and it extracted a Camtasia project in the same location named Big-Swipes-01.cmproj.  Just so you know, this is actually what is known as a bundle on the mac, and is a special folder that contains other files inside of it. That is not important for getting it to work though.
3. When I double click the Big-Swipes-01.cmproj project , it opens the project in Camtasia.
4. I can open a second project in Camtasia.  The one that I want to use the asset in. Note that on Camtasia for Mac, you can open more than one project at a time. You can then copy media from one project into the other.
5. In the first project (Big-Swipes-01.cmproj), I can select the only media on the timeline which is named Big Swipes -01.
6. I can right click on that media and choose the Copy option from the context menu that is shown.
7. I can switch to the second project and choose Paste from the main Edit menu.
8. The asset copied from the first project will be placed into the second project at the playhead position.

If this still fails for you, if you note which step failed, it will help narrow down what the possible cause could be.
In a future release there should be a library for the mac as well, so the workflow for mac and windows will be much more similar than it currently is.
But until that time, this method will allow you to get those assets you downloaded into your project for you to enjoy.

What you explained worked!  What I was trying to do was import the assets from within Camtasia - which it wouldn't let me do.  I guess I misunderstood the instructions.  Thanks!

Glad it worked for you!
