Importing PowerPoint Slides

The Tutorial said that using Import Media, I can import the entire PowerPoint slide deck and then record audio on each.  Sounds easy enough, but when I hit the Import Media button, my PowerPoint slides don't show up.  I do File Import and go to my Documents folder and it shows as though they are "empty" (and my PowerPoints are definitely in that Folder).  Any thoughts on this?  I'm finding this terribly frustrating and difficult and if this is the best tool, I'm in BIG trouble!

What version of camtasia are you using?  2018 imports the ppt and pptx files without a hitch. Did you import and then drag the imported media to the timeline?

I am unfamiliar with that version.  Hopefully someone with more knowledge than myself will come along.

In the Media Bin click on the import button or the + sign

You can only import PPT or PPTX PowerPoint files

Navigate to the location of your ppt or pptx to import it.

It may take a bit for Camtasia to import the slides depending how large your Powerpoint presentation is and the data of the slides.

When the import is done you should have a png for each slide of your ppt or pptx in the Camtasia Media Bin

Put them on the timeline a needed.

I understand exactly what you are saying but my list of files "stops" at the Video files and will not show PowerPoint files.

Then I would try and do a Repair install of Camtasia.
You may have a missing or corrupt file(s).

Worst scenario, You could export the slides in Powerpoint as png's or jpg's and put into Camtasia.
