This conversation has been merged. Please reference the main conversation: PIP & Side-by-Side video

In Camtasia, how can the main window be moved over to the side somewhat to display the teacher who is doing the talking? I've seen this done many times in tutorials, but do not know how to achieve this effect. Thanks.

Hey Daniel!

I'm going to merge this with another thread.

This video is a good walk through of how to achieve this effect though: http://www.screencast.com/users/Shane...

Hi Logan. Thanks for your response. I watched the video you referred me to with Shane, but he at no time answers the question. I want to be able to show myself, from time to time, talking as I record my video. Not sure how to make my question clear. On the right, say, have the screen, and have some space on the right, and place the video of myself speaking as I'm demonstrating. Shane does this in his video but he does not explain HOW he does it.
Thanks.
I also added another question a few moments ago about how to add a tablet tot he screen as they do in the Khan Academy tutorials.
Thanks.

The webcam of yourself is just another track in Camtasia. You can move the video any place you want on the screen. When you don't want to see yourself, go to the visual properties, create an animation on the track and change the opacity to 0%. When you want to come back on, create another animation and change the opacity to back to 100%.
