Inconsistent Audio playback (really bizarre)

The audio levels in the audio file are displaying fine but the playback isn't consistent. By that I mean I'm playing the video and the playhead will go over a flat line of audio (no sound) and the audio will still be audible. It's playing the audio where it shouldn't.

Hi Billy,

Sorry it took so long to respond to this. This might be an issue for our support department to look at. You can have a look at our knowledge base articles here:

http://techsmith.custhelp.com/app/ans...

There are a handful related to playback sync issues. If you don't find what you're looking for there, you can get in touch with our Tech Support department. It's free of charge.

You can create an account and submit your issue here:

No need for that kind of language. I agree these issues are frustrating. I've had similar ones. Here is the workaround I came up with

no, its not youtube, its in the editor....

so, when i played music, for example at minute 1:32, it will sounds different each time i play it on minute 1:32 without even moving anything on the timeline...

for me that problem is unnaceptable and looking at the "employees" here who replied just to say "this might be an issue for our support departement"

whats the point in replying then ?

anyway, i think i've hit the wall with this product, piece of garbage, imma tell my friends to never use camtasia...

Hi,

I know it's not always clear or ideal for some, but this forum is primarily for the sharing of feature requests, feedback, and suggestions to make the product better. It's also for helping those who are trying to figure out or accomplish a task with our software.

When there are bugs, or conflicts with 3rd party apps or services, or issues with hardware, OS, drivers, etc., they are best handled by our support department. They have the capability to share screens, run diagnostics, and obtain your actual file or project so they can diagnose and address the issue.

It's really hard to try and do tech support over a forum. If it's a widespread or known issue we would certainly link to the workaround or knowledge base article. In fact, if and when we discover the root cause of this, we would hope this thread would be updated with such information.

We're truly sorry about the problem you're having with Camtasia Studio and YouTube. It very well may be in the Camtasia Studio editor. I hope people will consider opening a case with support and sharing their zipped project as well as any information as to how the audio was obtained.

You can open a case here: http://techsmith.custhelp.com/app/uti...

They will respond within one business day.

Sincerely,
Mike Curtis
