I know there is a lot of Topic about that type of problem but I couldn't solve it...I produced a Video with Smart Player and inserted a hotspot in it for testing purpose. In Camtasia the hotspot was alright and I can jump to a specific marker but when watching the Video e.g. in Firefox (I clicked on the .html file to run it) or uploading it directly to Screencast.com there is no hotspot function at all. Just the Symbol where I put the hotspot but no functionality.
Can anyone of you advise me to solve this Problem?

Thanks for the quick Response!
I downloaded the latest Version of camtasia 7 days ago. In Chrome or in IE the Player doesn't run, just the loading Icon Shows up...and there is no stop at the hotspot Position but I activated it in camtasia before the production.

do you have markers in project? did you produce with multiple files from markers?
I have seen the issue you describe when I do multi files and try to play locally, or off screencast.com [multi files not supported on sc.com]

Here is the screenshot. I hope it helps to solve the Problem. I clicked on the hotspot so you can see the Settings on the right. I guess I just produce from one file at least I can't remember that I clicked on something that would have done a different production.

When I double click on the Player.html there is a little popup which says that because of security Settings some characteristics in the Video won't be available but should be if I upload it somewhere. I guess this shouldn't be the error why it won't work at all because on screencast the results are the same.
Can you provide me maybe your player.html file for testing purpose? Maybe the described popup window has something to do with it.

I don't use Firefox; and be advised that launching [local play] using the xxxplayer.html in Edge also will never work, but using the xxx.html should always work; Chrome should also work, with both .html files
do you have the video up on screencast.com? if so, can you share a link? I'd like to see if it plays for me off screencast.com

Here is a Video where I Show you how I did the production with the hotspot. Maybe you find a mistake or something. I did an extra hotspot on top of the Video but it won't work for me: http://www.screencast.com/t/wVKRVN4a4LD

Are you running a anti-virus program?
If so try disabling it temporarily and see if things work.
Another thing to maybe try as a test is to apply the hotspot a different way.
Instead of using the Interactive Hotspot in the Visual Effects, try adding a hotspot from the Annotations.

Drop it on top of the callout and make your settings.

You can than "Group" the hotspot and the callout .
Just throwing some ideas at the wall here.

I noted 2 possible issues ...
your quality setting at 20% seems way too low; try setting quality to 60%
also, where are you saving the produced files to? the path in the wizard did not look like a local system file path?

If saving to a online source that may be a problem.
It should be saved locally.

Edit: I inserted a quiz to see if this works and it did. Really weird why the hotspot won't work.

I think you have a browser security issue; you should try playing your video, hosted on screencast.com, from another PC, perhaps from a different location?
you should also make a short test project; add a few markers [for a TOC], a hotspot, few captions, and a simple quiz; produce using the share to screencast.com tool; view it off someone else's PC
do the interactive items all work

Could not tested it yet but found this on the camtasia site:
14 November, 2018: Camtasia (Windows) 2018.0.7
- Fixed a crash on startup that could occur for users that had previously entered Video Info metadata in the production wizard.
- Fixed a problem that could prevent captions and/or hotspots from working properly in Smart Player productions

if so, you should already be using 2018.0.7.
look at help/about menu to see what you're using

Edit: With Version 2018.0.7 it's all fine when trying it at home. Will try it with the 2018.0.6 Version and see what happens but it's either this or the Network Setup in my workplace. Thanks for all the help!
