interruption every 45 seconds

While working with Camtasia, I get an interruption every 45
seconds or so, with a blue waiting circle. This lasts about 6 seconds and a
white bar appears at the top with the text "TechSmith Camtasia 2019 (no
response). After 6 seconds this is over and I can work again for 45 seconds and
then that's it again.

This is the first time this problem occurs. I have had Windows 10 as my operating system for about 6 weeks. Who also knows this problem? And what is the reason for it?

I often get this on my PC when it is performing something process intensive in the background. It is not Camtasia causing this problem.
You may have a backup system running at the time, or perhaps you have "Realtime" syncing set for OneDrive, or even (one larger systems particularly) if Windows Indexing is set to index files that is often a system "slower-downer". (I find Indexing a waste of time and process on fast modern PC's particularlt if you have SSD drives, and so I turn it off). If you have done performed some cleanup of your registry for a while (such as using IOBit Advanced SystemCare (the best) then the registry could be fragmented holding up things.
Another possibility occurs if you have your desktop set to change images every now and then (say a slideshow changing every minute). This causes havoc with Windows Explorer I have found, and changing your disktop to a single image or to plain colour seems to fix that problemn (that is a bug in Windows Explorer).

This usually occurs when system resources are overwhelmed for some reason. The computer is processing information as best/fast as it can. Thats what the blue waiting circle is all about.

A number of things can cause this. You could try disabling your graphics card.



If thats the case a graphics card driver update may resolve it.

Did you just update your computer to Windows 10? If so, the program files may have been corrupted.
A reinstall or repair could resolve that.

Camtasia may be doing autosaves. That can sometimes cause interruptions. Check Edit > Preferences > Program > Autosave and try turning it off or adjusting the timing.
