IainMacKay,

What browser and version of Mac OSX are you currently using? Are you aware of any browser addons/extensions that you have installed that might interfere with browser cookies? We have seen this issue before but are unable to reproduce it, so any additional information you can provide that would help us understand how it happens would be helpful.

One thing you can try is logging out and then back in to the service and trying the upload again. If that doesn't work, you can try the Desktop Uploader: https://www.screencast.com/tools.aspx

Again, any information you can provide would be much appreciated so we can work to fix this issue.

Thanks,

Paul S.

IainMacKay,

I understand your frustration and I'm sorry I can't give a better answer to this issue. I don't think the system will allow me to pre-fill those fields for you. I don't see any problem with linking this thread in the problem description though if you do not want to re-type what you've already described here.

Our support team is aware of this issue and I'm sure once they read the thread title they will be able to guide you on the next steps.

If you decide to file a support ticket it would be greatly appreciated. Your use case is definitely very important to me and is the core of what Screencast is for, which is why I'm asking for your help in tracking down the issue.

Regards,

Paul S.

For me it seemed like a core feature broken. With a broken error message for a major site ?!? Still broken today. Empty parameter for a basic operation using a standard browser on a minority platform but still — It seems strange to me. I've filed a ticket.

I entered the site with an incognito window which did not exhibit the problem. So I cleared cookies for the site and it worked cognito.

I also removed a recent personal signed certificate that was not validated by third party in the system keychain which may of played a part but don’t know because I did both actions at the same time before testing.

Thanks for your help
