How do use an iPhone as a webcam so I can record the video with my phone’s camera and capture screen on my desktop. My phone has way better video than my webcam but I want to use screen capture on the PC and an input microphone.

You might give the article linked below a read.

If you don't find any joy using the tips outlined there, I'm thinking you might be able to just use the phone stand alone and record the video separately. Then later bring it into the Camtasia editor.

Cheers... Rick :)

Try ManyCam  (https://manycam.com/) .  They have a mobile  app for connecting your smartphone to the PC app. Once it is running  you can then connect it to Camtasia by selecting the ManyCam Virtual Webcam as input.  https://help.manycam.com/knowledge-base/manycam-mobile/

Epoccam works with Camtasia by changes in terminal
Open terminal and input
Xcode-select --install
when done input
sudo codesign --remove-signature /Applications/Camtasia\ 2020.app/Contents/Resources/CLRecorder

this worked for me
