I'm a phsyics teacher who is new to Camista. My goal is to make Kahn Academy style videos for my students to address our textbook problems. I'm wondering what hardware folks are using successfully to draw. It seems like a trackpad would be helpful, but why buy one if I can use an ipad instead? if anyone has suggestions before I start that research, please let me know.

I use my iPad Pro with the pencil to make music theory videos. It works great. I also use a screen mirroring ap. I’m not sure if that answers your question.

just one thought- iPad would work well certainly (you can record off of your iPad into Camtasia). *If* you want to be able to gesture at things with your cursor (mouse pointer), then iPad wouldn't work as well. In this case, a tablet with a pen would work better. It's up to you.
You can also add in callouts, highlights, etc with Camtasia in editing to point things out if that's better for you.

I am doing the same with Latin tutorials. I use an Intuos tablet w/pen with PowerPoint. I am also using a MacPro, which has some differences than using a PC with PPT. But after getting used to the set up, it works very well.

The Apple Pencil is available for use on some iPad especially all version of current iPad Pros.
