Is Camtasia 2018 backwards compatible with 9.1?

Thinking of upgrading but am concerned about backwards compatibility.

No it is not, you can open a Cam 9 project in 2018. But not the other way around.

But don't worry, Camtasia 18 will ask you to convert your old project. If you do, a backup of your old project is automatically created.

Is is easy to keep two installs for Camtasia 9 and Camtasia 18 around for backward compatibility?  Ie.. others not yet upgrading ...?

Yes, there should be no problem with having both Camtasia 9 and 2018 installed.

Having both instances installed doesn't seem to be the biggest problem here ... From what I am reading, if anyone in my video editing "network" is on Camtasia 9, then I cannot edit a video in Camtasia 2018 without nuking their ability to make further edits to that video. Correct?
