Hi ktshoe60,
Are you actually having trouble with your Camtasia 2018?
If so, please contact our technical support team. This is a free service.
As to seeing the problems others are having, remember this is a support site. So, that is primarily what you will see when you come here. Overall, this is a first level of support site for people in the user community to help other users.
I would suggest you use the 30 day trial to make a project, use the features, make sure it meets your personal needs. If you run across a problem, ask for help here, or contact our support team.
We're happy to help in any way we can!
Kelly

Thank you for your reply. Initially I created projects from PowerPoint that worked very well. I have ticket in for a problem with uploaded videos from a Nikon camera. I had used version 7 at an employer and that worked great. But I'm concerned that 2018 has a lot of bugs that previous versions didn't have.

I've uploaded two 90-minute videos from a Soloshot camera to two different projects recently. They've worked really well.

You could always try v9 to see if you like it better. You can get it at:
https://www.techsmith.com/download/oldversions
You may want to review the new features in 2018 to see if you're actually using any of them. If so, you may not want to go back to v9.
