Is Camtasia ever going to make it so Hotspots can be used on YouTube videos?

Just about 100% of my videos are hosted by YouTube.  Although I can host my own videos I really cant host videos for any clients I create videos for.  It would be great to be able to use this cool feature (Hotspots) through YouTube as well as screencast, or hosting it myself.

I really like using Camtasia and it would be very helpful if Camtasia videos could use hotspots with YouTube.  Please consider making that a reality.  :)

That would be something You Tube would have to accommodate.

You Tube allows what it allows. You can't make You Tube do anything. You could probably write them and let them know what you would like to do.

Vimeo makes some hotspot capability available to paid members (not free members)

@Joe Morgan posted some more useful information recently on this thread:

Annnd sure as something might be done to make the functionality actually kind of work, it would likely break every other day because of changes the YouTube or other platform would be making.

There's nothing wrong with the cards. They've replaced the annotations links that You Tube used for years.

The cards are an improvement and seem to be popular and received well by users. I suspect this will be the norm for quite some time.

Cards? There are cards? Where see cards? Who mentioned cards? Who said there's something wrong with cards?

I was only stating that YouTube and other platforms seem to be constantly changing and moving the goal posts. So if the Camtasia development team were to somehow magickally make things work, it would likely be very short lived and people would be howling constantly because the link between Camtasia and YouTube would likely suffer.

Bottom line here is that I see zero incentive for the Camtasia developers to put any effort into making this work. I'd be shocked to see it.

Cards are the hot spots.  Understand? Annotations were used for hot spots previously.

TechSmith CANNOT Make It Work. Even if they wanted to .

It's You Tubes feature, Not TechSmith's. You can't create them until after the videos uploaded.

Try watching the video. You'll see it's a Feature you access through You Tube. Not Camtasia.

It took me a while but I found this video. I see Dave beat me to it and found my older post.

But these are still created manually, Through You Tube.

So creating the hot spots in Camtasia will not be supported.
