Is there a fix for the Keypad issue in Snagit 11?

I just came from Snagit 8, where I used the keypad to enter dimensions for RFIs.  Apparently, the + - and / keys have now been changed to zoom functions, which is a problem when I am typing something like "1-4 1/2".  I saw a thread about this when the problem was first introduced in Snagit 9 (https://feedback.techsmith.com/techsmith/topics/zoom_function_on_numerical_keypad).  Has a solution been provided?  Holding shift down at just the right moment isn't a viable fix.  If I mistime it, I'll end up missing numbers, as holding shift down disables the number keys.  I just need a way to disable these zooming functions while in an active text box.

Nat, It is one of those stupid things Snagit did to screw up the software like the other things. One will have to use the the combination "SHIFT" + "-" to enter the "minus" or Hyphen" sign, same goes for the "+". I guess someone thought people using the editor would be zooming in and out more than entering "-" or "+"

You can also use the combination of "SHIFT" key with the 10 key to Pg Up, Pg Dn, Home, End just like what the key denote on the picture below. I do not think there is an options in the preferences to modify the key behavior. I have not seen one. Remember I am using v11.4.1. do not want to install any other higher version becasue Techsmith has screwed them all by striping the useful things.

Thanks.  I only upgraded to get the capture history feature after accidentally closing an intricate project I was working on.  If I had known about the keypad thing, I might have just left it alone.  I had hoped that, with the complaints from six years ago on Snagit 9, that TechSmith would have implemented a fix by version 11, which is the highest version our company has licenses for.  I think having the option to use the keypad like that is fine.  I just don't understand why they wouldn't give you the option to disable it if you were used to using it the old way.  I certainly won't be pushing for our company to upgrade any higher.

Apparently, this issue is fixed in Snaggit 13, according to the tech support people.  How frustrating.  I don't relish the idea of trying to figure out yet another version of Snagit.

My two cents, make a list of all the functionality you expect when working on a typical project in SnagIt 11, (minus the keypad on/off toggle, obviously), then get a trial of 13 and see the number of functional abilities that are no longer available. This way, you'll have validated to yourself and company why NOT transitioning to v13 is the right thing to do. I'm at a company that installed 13 across the division without so much as a warning and it's been painful.

Good luck!
