Is there a way to edit a video from screencast after it is rendered? I have been saving everything to my pc as well so I am able to make edits in the future if needed and am concerned I will kill my pc memory.

I’ll take a stab. If you have the Camtasia project that contained the initial edit, you should be able to do make future edits to that.

I would imagine that screencastdotcom would allow the user to download an MP4 copy of the video they’ve uploaded and you could edit that MP4 in Camtasia.

That sounds like a good assessment. But to make sure we're being very clear-
The rendered video on, that you could download, is sort of a "flat" video. You wouldn't have all the parts and pieces to move around, like callouts, lower thirds, other source videos you added, etc. If you want those things to edit with, you'll need the Camtasia project that is on your computer and is NOT on

actually there is a way to download a MP4 from, where if that video was originally produced with interactive content like markers for TOC, hotspots, captions, quiozes, you can then use that downloaded MP4 to recreate a locally viewable full production file set, where the interactive content is restored; however, this will not give you an editable Camtasia project

however, once the files set is restored, the info about interactive content can be extracted from the config file, using a text editor, and then used to reconstruct an editable project
