Is there a way to have text blocks auto-expand as you type? There should be!

The flow I'd like to have when entering text:
- click the text button
- click on the area of the image where I want to put text
- start entering the text - the width should AUTOMATICALLY WIDEN as I type, unless I type CR, where it should go to the next line
- afterwards, allow me to play with the border, automatically reflowing the text as I do.

Instead, when I get is a square text area that is only large enough for 2 characters, and doesn't autoexpand as I type. Super annoying.

Am I missing something?

Hi Paul,

Rather than clicking, try dragging out a marquee in the region that you want to type. That defines the general parameters for the text to be filling. It will probably still need some tweaking depending on the size of the font, what the font particulars are, the size of the box you create, and how many words you type in. That's about it.

Yup, i'm trying to train myself to do that - it's just that I use a lot of other programs too (Keynote, powerpoint, visio, etc) and they're all just click and start typing...

Hi,

Sorry about this! There is an issue with this that we're looking into.
