Is there a way to record presentation box only in Powerpoint Presenter view, so to be able to use Notes?

I would like to make a voice over Powerpoint course, with a small video box of me, captured by a webcam. To make it smooth, I would use Powerpoint Presenter view on my laptop so to be able to read notes while recording. Is there a way to record only the presentation box, and not the next slide box and Notes box?

Possible to just record the slide part of the presenter screen, but wouldn't recommend that. Second screen for the slides, and record that screen would be much better. - then you will be sure that all animations etc will work.

Thanks Erik, although not convenient for me since I plan to do it on a laptop - so no second screen.

At times I ve used an Ipad as second screen, recording from my lap-top. -or you might do as Joe M. Proposes. - works very well, I know.

I don't know if you have the ability to record just your webcam or not.
If you do you could export your animated slides as a movie from PowerPoint. Play your PowerPoint presentation and record your webcam footage as you watch the movie.
Then you can just bring both recordings together in Camtasia to finish your project.

Regards,Joe
