is there a way to record screen and mic audio separately, so im able to edit both

Im trying to edit voice audio and game screen audio recordings differently

Drag the recording to your timeline, right-click on the recording, select "Separate audio and video". You will now have two separate tracks to edit separately. You will need to be cautious if you cut them into pieces, because they can get out of sync.

thanks for response, but its not audio and video i wish to split. its microphone and game sound i would like to split not video.

if you use camtasia recorder to record game, it would be record mic sound and game sound saparately. microphone has recorded in the same track with screen and system audio or game sound recorded in another track.

if you want to edit any sound you like. you can edit it in timeline or you can extract it from .trec file when it on clip bin.
