Is there a way to replace placeholder images?

After mocking up a presentation I've been asked to replace some of the images. Is there a simple way to do so, or do I have to drop in the new asset and copy across the transformations, etc?

Right click on the asset/image and then click on replace media. Then choose the new media. The transitions will stay as is.

Something to consider ...

Are you using Camtasia 2019?

Are the replacement images exactly the same dimensions and aspect ratio as the original?

Using "replace media" will give you an image that inherits the dimensions and aspect of the new target

if the new image is a portrait aspect and the original was a landscape aspect, you will most likely need to resize the replacement to fit the canvas

Also, depending on the exact values involved [project editing dimensions,  old/new image dimensions]. the replaced image may or may not display at full sharpness in either the canvas, or in a produced video

The only way to assure maximum sharpness is to re-import the image into the project

If working with high resolution photo images, this can be an issue; if working with low resolution images, you may not notice a difference
