Is there an easy way to remove the space between each segments in a track?

I am only editing one track. I use the the Split feature to cut segments. I delete the ones that I don't need (which will result in an empty space). Once I am done, I end up with multiple segments on one track with space in between. Currently I am manually moving the clips next to each other. Is there an easier way to automatically delete all the empty space in between the clips?

Thank you.

I am using Camtasia Studio 8

What you want to do is a ripple delete. See Image Below.

You just place the timeline indicator at the point you normally apply your first cut.
Then grab the "Red or Green" marker slide it to the other cut point.
Select the "Scissors" Cut Icon and it will remove everything shaded in blue and slide the clips together.

To Ripple edit one track when other tracks are on the timeline. You can lock the tracks you don't want included. Or leave them unlocked and ripple delete them all.

Hi,

If you are new to editing on the timeline, you might want to check out some of our online video tutorials, like this one;

Also, the help file in Camtasia Studio is filled with instruction on editing the content on your timeline.
