you can use your image as watermask, and place anywhere you want. set duration of image as you want.

you can also use scaled down MP4s with background removed [remove a color] to project animated watermarks; both images and MP4s can have their opacity lowered to give a soft effect, or to temporarily hide them; also, watermarks made from images or MP4s can be moved around the video if needed so as not to interfere with the video's content

you can also animate the watermark itself, and use it as a dynamic pointer

I recorded a parametric equation in Excel and wanted to speed up the breathing motion. I played and re-recorded it at 4x using the VLC media player and Camtasia 8. If I had watermarked each recording would that work?  "See breathing.mp4"

Virtually anything works as a watermark. Just overlay it on the uppermost track.

Size/Position to taste, reduce opacity if desired to make it less noticeable. Done.

We really don't need access to an example.

Ed, perhaps you can elaborate on your suggestion or question.

Are you suggesting that what you shared may be used as a watermark? Or is it related to something completely different?

Cheers... Rick  :)

"Are you suggesting that what you shared may be used as a watermark?"   No.

I recorded, a Camtasia screen recording of an Excel chart that appears to "breathe". I could have added watermark #1. Once rendered, I played the MP4 file using the VLC player at 4x.  I then recorded the 4x VLC player - a Camtasia's recording of a previous Camtasia recording. So 2 layers of Camtasia screen captures on top of one another, 2 opportunities to add 2 different watermarks.

Lets say you created an MP4 video and forgot to add a watermark. You have two choices - add the watermark and re-render the project or import the mp4, and the watermark and re-render.

I hope this is a little clearer.
