System audio is the audio played through the speakers.Therefor, you cannot separate the two because they are one.
What is 'Sound Audio' ? Are you referring to the sounds Windows makes when you click on certain things?Or when certain things occur like a low battery alarm.
You can disable those sounds through Windows. Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Sound

Thanks for the reply though I was wondering whether there is a way of recording something without having to listen to the sound as it records?

You can turn the volume down on the speakers. System audio will still be recorded if it's set to record.

I thought that should be the case, but that is not happening on my computer. When there is no volume through the speakers, there is no volume in the recording!?!

If you are turning the speakers down using the windows pop-up volume control you Are turning down the System volume along with the speakers.
If you turn down the speakers with a volume knob on the speakers your System volume will stay the same.
I turn down my speakers with the volume knob on the Speakers all the time and have No effect on Recorded volume.
I have my System volume set between 60% and 70% because if I go higher the recorded volume is to high and is terrible depending on which computer I am using.
