Is there any way to automate a carriage return (ENTER key) after the image is pasted into the document?

I use SnagIT a lot for creating documentation with screenshots and have a hotkey that I use to copy the selected area to the clipboard and send to the word document.

Is there any way to automate a carriage return (ENTER key) after the image is pasted into the document? It would save me having to constantly switch to the document to hit enter a couple of times after the image is pasted.

AFAIK  not with snagit.

You could very  easily do it with automation programs like winautomation for instance.

Thanks - just got an answer from their Tech support. Maybe they add the functionality in a future release as an enhancement.

"Unfortunately we do not have a way of automatically adding a carriage return after the image is inserted into the Word document. However, I can pass this along as a feature request! "

Lol, I wouldn't hold my breath on their "adding as a feature"

I may have a simple work around for you.
Create a table in your word processor but make the lines invisible.
Create the table that allows you to paste the image but in the next cell either below or to either side type your text.

It can help your layout and makes it a lot easier for picture placement and if you are using MS dumb picture handling settings it will stop them moving all over the page.
