Hello Shawngiese;

You cannot; Snagit's video editing capabilities are limited to just trimming. If you are looking for more robust editing features you may want to take a look at Camtasia.

Argh, I had upgraded to the latest Snagit for the Animated GIF output but without editing features it is hard to use. I tried exporting to Camtasia but it is not looking good when output to animated GIF.

For example the GIF file is rather big and the colors (even with dithering) are not coming out correctly.

Completely agree shawngiese.

It was my understanding from the advertising and tutorials that you can add basic edits to captured videos. But apparently not. I upgraded to Snagit 13 and now find I have to spend $250 for Camtasia to add a simple title block providing the name of the video for clients.

Surely it is not unreasonable to expect that when you work in Editor you can do just basic labelling or have simple line draw tools.

The term screen capture may refer to taking a screenshot of the desktop or part of it, or a screencast which is a digital recording that records activity over time.
