Is it possble to move a marker with a clip?

I am inserting clips between clips and it's painful. When I drag a clip to make room my markers do not move with the clips. I saw a post about "Media Markers" vs. "Timeline Markers" but I don't see any choices for that.

OK, I just found that if I hover in just the right place I can "pin" the marker to the media. Now if we can get a "Insert Clip at Playhead" feature I'll be HAPPY!

alternative method ...

to make space for a new clip, instead of dragging clips out of the way, put playhead at start of insert point; make a selection that is as long as the new clip, right click selection and select insert time

One more alternative: SHIFT key - Playhead - Ripple Move (Markers will also move). You can use the same technique if there is an existing split between clips...this helps ensure all other assets on any other tracks also move & stay in sync. I do like the idea of a "Insert Clip At Playhead" so you don't have to worry about how big a "hole" you need to make...

Here's a 1 minute tutorial on how:

Somewhat related post here updating Camtasia v9/3 Media and Timeline marker behavior - and it seems identical behavior on each of v3 and v9.

Whichever method you use the key is to pull down the marker on the level of the timeline you move. If it is above, it won't move, it will be attached to the exact time instead.

So, on the timeline (1 by 1)  click on the blue plus sign on the row of the marker, to get it down.
