Is it possible for me to trade in Snagit 12 for an earlier version? The new version doesn't seem to work for scrolling screen capture.

I'm a big fan of SnagIt, but the new version seems to have lost Scrolling capture (not seeing any of those new orange arrows in boxes).  Is it possible to downgrade to an earlier version?  I really need to do the scrolling captures.

Hello Dawn,

What application are you trying to use scrolling capture on?

Scrolling capture is still in Snagit 12 and it should work with the same applications that worked with Snagit 11.

Hi Dawn - The scrolling indicator icons changed in version 12. Here's an image of what you should see when hovering over a scrollable window. I hope this helps.

I have the same problem.  I do not see any arrows.  I am running dual monitors.

I also followed your trouble shooting help guide, disabled my FF add=ons [no difference], and tried it in FF, IE and Chrome [and it still didn't work]...

I am running version 12.

I also have a problem with scrolling capture in version 10 through to 12 using IE and Chrome. I have downloaded a free app and evernote it works ok so why does SnagIt scrolling capture not work no matter what I do. I have had this problem since version 10 and it drives me mad it is the defacto feature I use in SnagIt otherwise it is a waist of time for me!?

I wonder when this problem will be addressed? All i want is a screen capture product that works to capture the whole screen. Whaat is the point with this product when it wont do its main job?
Do you have an ETA on when this will be fixed?
Im ready to buy yr whole suite of products if this can be fixed!!!

I've experienced the scrolling capture problem ever since the new SnagIt look was released.  It simply won't capture all of a lengthy (2 screens) scroll.

My win 7 hard drive died puchased a new Toshiba with Win 10 have Snagit 8.2 and Snagit 10. neither will allow us to capture a scrolling image

I have had exactly the same problem with SnagIt 12 in Windows 10. That is before SnagIt 12 stopped working completely and is impossible to uninstall now.

Hi, just an FYI that I am having the same issue. My tech team upgraded my snag it and now the scroll capture won't work. Like others have pointed out, this is the main function of the program, so I'm not sure how it doesn't work.
