Is it possible to have SnagIt automatically upload to FTP?

SnagIt conveniently provides keyboard shortcuts to take screenshots and the option to setup uploading to FTP with a single click after a screenshots is reviewed in the editor window.

It would be nice to have the option to setup another shortcut, for when we don't need to edit a screenshot at all and just want to share it immediately.  Ideally, there would be some way to hit Control+Shift+F instead of Control+Click+C (or something like that) and that would tell snagit to supress opening the editor and to just copy the screenshot we took to FTP and the custom code we created to our clipboard.

Is this possible in any way that I am overlooking?

Hi Ben,

Here is a quick video showing how you can capture straight to FTP without the editing step: http://screencast.com/t/zjrWEcBG
The key is deselecting the "Editor" button when setting up a profile, this option determines whether or not you want to edit prior to uploading/sharing.

I hope this helps out, let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Jason

Oh nice, that's just what I was looking for, except(!), now it looks like I have to refine my question.

Is it possible to do this in any way on Mac?  I don't think you folks support Profiles there yet.  I tried deselecting Preview in Editor but there doesn't seem to be a way to pre-select a share method.

Hi Ben,

The profiles options are not available in Snagit for Mac, there are the "Preview in Editor" and "Send to Clipboard" presets, but choosing a share destination ahead of time isn't available.

Sorry about that, but thanks for the insights into your need on the Mac.

Jason
