Is there a way to select a range of clips on a track?

I'm using Camtasia Studio for PC, 8.0.3.  I'd like to select a range of clips on a track, say the 7th to the 12th.  The intuitive way to do this would be to select the first and then, with the shift key held down, select the last, but this doesn't seem to work.

Thanks for any help.

Well, if there aren't other clips in the way on other tracks, you can just drag your mouse over them and it selects them (you have to start with your mouse OFF the clips).  Someone else may have a better idea.

There does need to be a better way of selecting clips on multiple tracks in order to move them and also slipping space in between tracks for extending a frame or adding a new clip.
