ISSUE: Capture Always Includes Mouse Pointer in SnagIT Mac 4.1.5

The Capture ALWAYS includes the mouse pointer, regardless of the capture settings.
Running SnagIT 4.1.5 (78109) on macOS 10.11.6

This did NOT happen with the first few releases of Ver 4, but somewhere along the way it started.

  • This same issue was reported on 2017-05-30
    • CSR:  Alex O.
    • He provided me with instructions to remove all "plist" files, and reboot.
    • Instead, I decided to to a  clean reinstall.
  • Yesterday I did a clean reinstall of SnagIT
    • Removed/Uninstalled using AppDelete to ensure all SnagIt related files were removed
    • Restarted my Mac
    • Downloaded and installed latest version from TechSmith
    • Initially SnagIt worked fine, the pointer was NOT captured.
    • But after I quit SnagIT, put my Mac to Sleep, Awaken the next day, and launched SnagIT the issue reappeared, now capturing my pointer.
Any ideas on how to fix this, prevent the mouse pointer from being captured?

I have checked, double-checked, and reset my capture settings many times.
Here is the current setting:

Are you starting your captures with the red Capture button in the screenshot you attached, or are you using a hotkey? If you're using the floating capture window or the direct to image hotkey, you'll want to deselect the setting in the old capture window.

One other little trick, if you do accidentally capture your cursor, you can just select the cursor in the editor and delete it.
