Issue with Snagit 2018 - Won't start unless power of on laptop

Bought SnagIt  2 months ago by via purchase department and at times SnagIt won't start unless I power off/on the laptop. There is a new version already and I need to pay for an upgrade. Call Tech Support and they don't support it because they only support 2019 even though mine is the latest version of 2018 (2018.2.2). I feel so ripped off.  Normally software is supported or free upgrade at least within 6 months of purchase.

Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling???
That is a cheap trick, usually the first thing that any Tech Support will come up with.
And, I fully agree with you about the lack of support.
