Item to be passed on to programmers. When using the record mode for recording audio or on screen, after hitting stop allow the user to name the file before saving into the program.
Why.  If you make several cuts you can preplan you file names for cuts/versions.
I don't mind them being put directly into Camtasia but currently uses date recorded as file name.  To rename the file you have to take it out of your time line, delete from media, rename in file manager, then input back into media under the new name.

Hi Kevin,
There is an option to save your recording now and it might be what you need.

So, in RECORDER, choose Tools > Options. Then deselect the HIDE PREVIEW WINDOW option as seen below.

Now, when you do a recording, you will see the preview window, and you have a SAVE AS option there. It is located under the little arrow on the SAVE AND EDIT button. Here:

Now, you can save each video with the correct name and in the folder you need it.

I hope this helps.

If you prefer to not have the preview window after recording
leave the "Hide preview window"checked and then just below that, set the
"Do this with my recording: To what option works best for you.

Do a test recording with each to see how each works.

For instance "Save" will just open the Save As dialog box and save just your .trec file to where you want.
You can bring it into the editor when you need that recording.
