Maybe I'm in the wrong discussion but, Jing is crashing on my Mac now. I'm using the new Mojave 10.14.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Jing but it still crashes when recording a video. I did manage a screen shot.
Any help would be appreciated.

Could you check what version you are on? The latest at the time of this writing is v2.8.1, which you can get here:

I have Jing v2.8.1 and keeps crashing in Mojave.   The recording does not initiate.  Canceling makes it crash.

I'm afraid I don't have any guesses off the top of my head on why that could be, so it might be best to open a ticket with Tech Support so they can have a look at your crash logs:

I'm getting the same issue. I am able to take a screenshot but not able to record. It tries to record but never does. When I cancel the recording it just crashes. Could this have something to do with Java?

I'm here for the exact same problem. Screen shots work fine, video never starts, then when you close the video Jing crashes in Mohave. I also get a message on power up that says the app is not "optimized" for OS and may not work properly. I think you guys have a problem with Mojave.

Mojave definitely is not officially supported- it shipped after the last update to Jing. However, it is working fine on all our Mojave test machines, if you allow mic/camera use when it prompts you. It seems that on some machines that isn't the case, however. I am hoping we can find a workaround, if we can determine the cause.

Still having the video capture issue.  Checked to see if a newer version has been released but no.
