Hi TechSmith Community!
We wanted to reach out to the community here to ensure that you are aware of a new update for Jing on Mac. We are bringing this to your attention due to a known issue relating to the 'Check for Updates' function not working on Jing for Mac. This means that to benefit from future updates you will need to download the new version of Jing, then install it manually. You can download this update to Jing here

This update will address an issue where Jing Mac users are prompted to update, however the update fails and an error is shown. All that needs to be done is the update manually installed after downloading it from here.

Clicking on the "Install Now" option seen here:

Will result in the following error:

Address this by manually updating from here.

If you experience any issues or run into any hiccups during the downloading or installation process, please open a support ticket here

Thank you Robert! In version 2.7.1 there was a problem with the images captures, they simply showed "washed", that is, the colors showed bad and the texts were hardly seen. in a Post I read that in the next update they would solve the problem, version 2.8 arrived and continues the same problem as in the previous version.

I didn't want to hit the LIKE button to AGREE - still washed out. I also am getting an error that the app is not compatible with MAC - 32 bit instead of 64??

You're both right- this update does not yet address either of those issues.
While there is a warning about 32-bit apps, 64-bit apps won't be required until the new MacOS release this fall, and we'll have an update out for that before then.
