JIng is not opening please help

Hi

i have download Jing (not pro ) and i didnt have any previous version of it.
i installed it but when i click to open nothing happens,there is no sun in the corner or anything.

when i go to application to open it again it says its already running.but there is nothing actually to do.

am having a macbook retina 10.8.2

please help me out

no its not. wish it was but no ,and the video is showing how to move the sun etc.i dont see any sun or to do anything

please any other idea?

That's too bad. Here's an idea. Open Activity Monitor (Under Applications > Utilities). Force Quit Jing, then relaunch Jing.

If that doesn't work, I think you will want to open a case with our Tech Support team. You can open a case here: http://techsmith.custhelp.com/app/uti...

Thanks for that. Had the same recurring problem and this solutions sorts it out quickly whenever it happens.

Yes, the support system is separate from this forum and you will need to make another account with them. Sorry about that--I know it's a pain.

I have the same issue...not in app tray, not showing sun anywhere.  I uninstalled then re-installed...no luck.  And, the link above for support is broken.

Keep the damn thing .... It worked fine the first time then it went to shit . Really neat . Clear pics and the Vid capture was clear and low on file size . 
Moved the Sun off the monitor to the task bar ( Apple ) 
Tried to start it up again 3 or 4 times get the Jing is already running . 
Came to this page and followed all the instructions .

Got rid of all the files in step 1 and 2 .
Well it's not on the monitor . It's not in the Dock it's not in the upper task bar . It's not in the Force Quit Applications window . It is in the Acivity Monitor . I quit it there and have to sign in with email password ... then it's not anywhere again and again . I don't want a work ticket .. why cause I had a question on Camtasia sent int he vid files as asked .. then nothing . 
It's nice you give something away .. but if you do why do you give away junk ? 
I'll slam your company anytime I can now .

Hi Duncan,

The behavior you describe we've seen come up when running Jing on Mac OS 10.7 or earlier.  Jing is only supported on 10.8 or later.  If you were to update your Mac OS I am confident that would resolve your Jing issue.  I hope that helps.

10.11.6 same problem. cept sun shows but disapears as mentioned  but when i go to captures have same problem have to force quit though monitor to repoen same thing reinstalled 5 times still same problem.
I have done every search spent 8 hours nothing nothing an nothing works. done everything you suggested.
Faulty software IMO.

Tried running on windows parralel, works in windows like a charm but will not vert back to mac, which is where i need the bloody damn program.

Hours spent to no effect, will not be buying snaggit as it is by your company and i should expect the same results as your other software, if i cant fix i will no longer be recomending this product to other devs and find a better working program.

    I just installed jing in my laptop windows 10, after installed its not opening (that jing ball not appeared ) also i just clicked on that it show "jing was stopped" , please any one can help to resolve this problem
