Jing wont connect through proxy: A transport method error occurred when calling "Screencast.upload.AppendData". The proxy works perfecly fine everywhere else.

Using Squid3.

I tried to use the Jing.exe.conf method in order to bypass the global settings without success.

Hello Guillaume,

Sorry for the delay in repsonse. We do have a tutorial that helps define how the proxy should be set up for Jing: http://www.techsmith.com/tutorial-jin...

If you have all of this set up already and it still won't work, I'd like to suggest you create a case with our Technical Support Team. They will get back to you within one business day.

Hi, same problem here.

Since we started using a transparent proxy (squid) in our network the Jing upload does not work.
As by your article the proxy is configured to allow port 8080 but no help.

We got a network with about 140 clients (desktops, server, mobile) and enabled the proxy 3 weeks ago.
Jing upload is the only known issue since that.
No issues with any other websites

Any help would be appreciated.
