Jing wont let me change the account on Mac

I cant change the account on Mac OS. When I go to Settings and click Manage Account the "sun" goes back in the corner. Can you help me please?

Could it be possible that the Manage Account dialog is hidden behind another window?

The steps on that link make it worked!

After I closed Jing app, and delete the files starting com.techsmith in ~/Library/Preferences/ and started Jing again I was able to login with a new account and the manage account is working too.

Hi,

When you click the "Manage Account" button in the sun, there should be a dialog that pops up that looks like this: http://www.screencast.com/t/iLZ2mHcm . So you're right, the sun does disappear to allow for that window to display. However, it sounds like you are not seeing that "Manage Account" dialog.

One suggestion would be to hide all other windows, such that the sun is the only thing on top of your desktop, and then try to click the Manage Account button. It's possible that the window is being hidden behind a different application's window.

Let us know if this doesn't help out, and we'll make sure to see if there could be something else going on.

I don't want to open or start an account with any of these listed. I want my problem fixed with screencast. I can't change accounts. It doesn't work. It remains the account I wish to change..

This is happening on PC as well.  It shows that my account is switched in the preferences however it uploads videos to the old account still.....

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling - no joy.  Looks like I'll have to find all those application settings and delete - fun times.

I'm having the same problem. I changed jobs, and because some training material from my last job is still being used with jing shots tied to that email address, I can't delete it. However, I can't upload to my new account with my new email address. I can change the account settings just fine (it appears to be tied to my new address), but all uploads go to my old account. 

Any clues to solve this?

Reset your password. It will force the app to reauthenticate to the new account.

Seriously, this issue was posted 4 years ago and it's still not solved? It's driving me nuts! I just want to log in with my screencast account but the window keeps closing. Please fix this annoying issue
