Just let me use the product

I'm a long time SnagIt user but I upgraded my computer so while I'm waiting for my key to be sent to me (by our IT dept) I tried to download a trial version. I just needed to capture one image but I've been forced to fiddle with your product and the capture button doesn't work! Why would you put 17 steps between your product and your users? Forcing me to create an account, and look at a bunch of tips. I just want to grab a screenshot. SO frustrating! You have a good product, don't create so much between you and your users. Let your product speak for itself. Oh, and the capture button doesn't work. I've been fiddling with this for 20 minutes now. Don't get fancy Techsmith. That's the mistake others have made and you avoided up until now.

For Windows screen capture:

  • To save a screenshot to a file which is saved in the Pictures folder, either:
    • Press the Windows Key + PrtScn keys on the keyboard.
    • On tablets, press Windows Logo + Volume down.
  • To take a screenshot and copy it to the clipboard, either:
    • Press the PrtScn key on the keyboard to capture the whole screen.
    • For a single window, tap or click the window you want to capture, press Alt + PrtScn keys on the keyboard.
