Most apps that have quick access links in the Mac menu bar allow that icon to keep running when the app is closed. I don't always want the SnagIt application running in my dock, though I do always want SnagIt accessible. Can you change SnagIt to keep the menu bar icon working when the App is closed?

A do-it-yourself-workaround to remove the SnagIt icon from the dock:

1) Find SnagIt.app
2) Right Click on it --> Show Package
3) Find "Info.plist" and open it with TextEdit *
4) Add the following to the file (at the bottom or so):
<key>LSUIElement</key>
<string>1</string>

* when you use the Property List Editor, add the child element called "Application is agent (UIElement)"

Cheers,
Oliver
