Is there a way that you see key strokes and mouse clicks can be present while recording. I had a option once for this and now it is not there. I am on Camtasia 8.6  I do not have the Cursor option under my options settings.

There is a Recorder setting for curser & clicks; I'm not aware of anything for recording the keystrokes. Thinking that would be simulated with SnagIt stamps or recorded as a separate insert clip?

For starters you need to be recording using the .trec format.
The .trec format captures the mouse clicks and mouse. Then you choose different settings in the editor as to how you want the mouse to look and behave.

Click on the tools tab on the Recorders tool bar and click options. Then make sure that Capture Keyboard Input is Checked.

See Image Below

You generate the keystrokes after you place the recording on the timeline in the editor. You right click the .trec and select Generate Keystroke Callouts
