Keyboard Shortcuts lacking some crucial ones

There are some crucial shortcuts that are missing from this option. One the most common ones I require and use every day is right clicking on a timeline clip, copy clip properties. selecting another clip then right click pasting those copied properties.

many more shortcuts should really be added for any program menu option so it can be customised. This has been possible for decades on other software and isn't a really new concept. I'm surprirsed its not been built in for the last 3-4 major releases.

This would be far faster and save probably hours over each month if I could assign for example [ to copy clip properties and then ] to paste the properties. It would be far faster.

Please feel free to share any additional keyboard shortcuts you feel are missing. I can't make any guarantees, but we'll at least take a look.

There should be keyboard shortcuts available for pretty much all functions. That way you won't have to guess what people are after or force them to tell you.

Adobes Premiere has over 900 shortcuts available to you.Plus this screen shot was created 2.5 years ago, and I suspect they must have added more for the features.I see no reason to research that.

Camtasia would require 100's less. Create the new list and be done with it. Is it actually  difficult  to create them? I wouldn't think so myself. Once done, minor modifications  is all that should be required.
Personally, I don't understand why this requires deep thought or research to get to implementation.

In terms of short cuts. Add anything that's a repetitive task. Copy and paste in the word is a good clue as to have that as a function means it's likely to be used a lot.

Copy Effects
Paste Effects
Copy Properties
Paste Properties
Separate Audio and Video
Zoom to Fill (under View - Canvas)
Update Media

These are the main ones which are all editing repetitive task. Please get these added asap.

Elementor, the WordPress page builder has a nice implementation of this.  You don't Copy effect or copy properties.  You simply copy.  When you paste you choose to paste (which is copy all), paste effects, paste properties etc and  Elementor then extracts those elements from the buffer and pastes those..

It even works different objects, pasting just those elements that are common to the different objects. it's very intuitive

Your only burring it deeper with the follow up post, if someone else chimes in before I return, It will be locked again.I'll be leaving shortly, so theres little time for me to act soon.

Ahh you have to remove the chain of comments, Sorry I only saw it on the latest post and not the previous, so I thought it locks it out on the previous ones. Once I deleted the latest I could remove the one before. Please leave your points there though, just not the image :). Good to get the message over still.

In regards to your comment.

"When not every menu option does really need a short cut. Only core/repetitive ones really do need that. Something you use once in a blue moon, doesn't necessarily need it."

That may be, but what others do on a regular basis differ from each other. The only reasonable solution is to offer them for everything.

That's why Adobe has done so.At least from my perspective.

Course, but if there is a reason as to why they haven't added them all, then it makes sense to start with the more likely frequent ones.

PS TechSmith Add "Duration" to the short cut list also. Thanks. PS If any of these are already on there, (except the Copy and paste properties), sorry about that, I can't currently use 2019 because it doesn't work until the bugs are fixed.

regarding "duration", on Camtasia Windows, alt-M ... enter key should execute the duration function on the selected media

Alt-M launches the "Modify Menu" and doesn't apply/execute the duration function for me.

Likewise. Alt M isn't much use, its actually slower going that way than right click the timeline and selecting duration that way, as the mouse is generally in this zone already.

for me, alt-M opens the modify menu, with the top item, duration, already selected

so just hitting "enter" executes"
