Keyboard selection

I do everything from my keyboard and would like to draw a box to select a region in snagit. The arrows keys accomplish this, but they are meant for precision adjustments and only scroll a pixel at a time. I would like a quick way to select a region using the keyboard.

Hey there,

Currently to do that, as you know, the best way is with the mouse. I'll pass along the feedback though!

Hi Simon

Can you please elaborate on how you make a selection using the keyboard?

While I'm familiar with using the arrow keys to nudge precisely while selecting the capture area, I'd like to know more about the "total keyboard" method you seem to be using.

Also, I'm assuming you are referring to selecting the initial capture area and not working within the editor.

Thanks... Rick :)

Hold down the space bar while you arrow your box - It looks like an x10 multiplier for movement.

But I want to know the answer to Rick's question.  How do you Start the selection (I thought it might be the Spacebar - that's how I stumbled on this tip) and End the selection?

Found it:

CTRL-ENTER starts and stops the capture
