Hello,
I am using a MIDI pad to control editing in Camtasia Studio 9.1. I am able to do almost everything, except deselecting a selection on the timeline. Is there a keyboard shortcut to deselect ? I know only the double-clic. Thanks !

Hi Rudi

Can you perhaps fill the rest of us all in on how you use this "MIDI Pad" to edit Camtasia?

I think I know what MIDI is. But I'm not sure if a MIDI Pad is a piece of software or hardware. And how one would go about using it to edit things in Camtasia.

Thanks... Rick :)

Hello,
As I am editing a lot in Camtasia, I bought this piece of hardware : http://www.korg.com/us/products/computergear/nanopad2/ as a controller. I thought at first I would be able to map directly the pads to keystrokes, but I understood afterwards that it was a MIDI only interface, that works with music softwares that recognize MIDI. So I am using this soft : https://www.bome.com/products/mtclassic, which translates MIDI signal to different types of outputs, and I mapped each pad to a series of keystrokes.
For instance, the first pad does SPACE, to play and stop. The second CTRL+DEL to ripple delete, the third is SHIFT+S and CTRL+D to silence and deselect,...
I have even mapped a pad to 20 commas (,) + SPACE, in order to come back two seconds and play. It speeds up my process a lot : one hand on the mouse, the other on the controller.
