Last time when I'm try to use Jing it has become too slow on my windows 8.1. Especially when I want to capture my screen.

What are you trying to capture ? A video or an image and are you saying the software is taking longer to load or when you take an image capture or video ? If you could provide a little more information on your steps and how much memory your windows 8.1 system has etc. it could help. I have not experienced this problem as of yet but I would be more than willing to try what you are doing if you provide the information and see if I can get the same or different results. Hi Fred,
It works slowly when I'm clicking on the sun button. And would like to select an area for capturing. I have 4 gb memory.

I have tried to duplicate your issue but, I cannot get the same results and I am using Windows 8.1 and the newest version of Jing. Have you by chance checked for the latest update of Jing which is Version 2.8.13007. I also have 4GB of Memory. You might want to put in a support ticket with TechSmith which is free.
