I am running SnagIt 13.1.6.
I am asked to update to 13.1.7 and I say yes.
The screen clearly states that in order for SnagIt to update, you must restart SnagIt.

So....I stop Snagit and restart it and the update does not take place.

Now if I have to reboot my system, the Update splash screen should clearly state that.

Regardless, SnagIt is not updating and I'm getting tried of the update pop-up on my screen over and over again.

Hi there

I've had that happen before. In that case you may need to visit the SnagIt web site (I'll provide a link below) and manually download and install it.

Cheers... Rick :)

I'm using SnagIt 2019.1.3 (64 bit) on Windows 10 Pro. If I remember correctly, when my installation updates, it usually says, in a dialogue box, that SnagIt needs to restart in order to complete installation and there is a button to 'Accept' or 'Restart' right in the dialogue box which then shuts down SnagIt, performs the update and then restarts the application.

I'm sorry I didn't clarify that the dialogue box I refer to is after performing the 'Update/upgrade' and installation has gone as far as it can without user input.
